Experiencing a shopping center beyond shopping

We created two 25-second commercial films for the Budapest Árkád shopping center. Instead of focusing on retail itself, the films explore how different moments and moods coexist within the same space. The setting shifts between browsing, choosing, eating, having coffee or simply spending time in a familiar environment.

Each scene reflects a different way of being present in the shopping center. The camera observes behavior rather than directing it. Movement stays natural, and framing adapts to the rhythm of the space. The films avoid a traditional promotional structure and concentrate on atmosphere and lived experience.

Similar commercial projects built around real environments and everyday interaction can be found in my project archive.

Two films, one central question

Both films share the same underlying idea, yet they approach it from different angles. One focuses on slower, observational moments, while the other emphasizes movement and transition. Together, they form a dialogue rather than a linear message.

The recurring question appears implicitly through the images: how do you experience this place? The films invite the viewer to recognize their own habits and routines without offering a predefined answer.

Visual rhythm and everyday presence

Camera placement remains flexible across locations inside the shopping center. Lighting conditions change constantly, so exposure and timing respond to the environment rather than forcing consistency. This approach keeps the visuals grounded and immediate.

Instead of highlighting specific stores or products, the films focus on transitions between moments. These in-between states define the overall experience of the space and shape its identity more than individual destinations.
